The Foods I Never Give Up
Because you are literally built from what you eat. There's no single superfood that does all the work, but there are foods I simply never give up. Here's my share.
Vegetables in All Colors
As many colors as possible on your plate. Leafy greens of all kinds, and also sprouts — which are truly superfoods.
Tip: During inflammation or illness, it's worth reducing nightshade vegetables — eggplant, potato, red pepper, and tomato.
Seasonal Fruits
Sweet, full of life — and best when fresh and in season.
Antioxidants
They protect your cells from damage and aging. Find them mainly in berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries), colorful vegetables, green tea, cacao and spices like turmeric.
Whole Grains and Legumes
It's worth soaking legumes before cooking. If you want maximum nutrients — sprout them. It's a game changer.
Quality, Unprocessed Protein
Chicken, beef, seafood, eggs, tofu — the building blocks of your cells. Less processed dairy products.
Omega-3 Rich Fats
From plants: ground flaxseeds and chia seeds. From animals: sardines and fish. They build the body and calm inflammation.
Good Oils in Abundance
Olive oil, nuts, seeds, avocado.
Reduce: processed seed oils (canola, soy) that go through aggressive industrial processing.
Fermented Foods
Sauerkraut, kimchi, homemade yogurt — for gut health, which is the key to absorbing all this goodness.
Anti-Inflammatory Spices
Turmeric and ginger — a small addition with a big impact.
Water
The foundation. Your cells need water to function and absorb all this goodness. Adequate hydration throughout the day makes a real difference to energy and digestion.
There's no single superfood. The more diverse your plate, the more building blocks your body receives.
And most importantly — you don't need everything at once. Start with what speaks to you most.
